SI Writers on cut + Paste / fri, sept 20, makerspace, 7pm

Join Cut + Paste host Stella Fiore for a live conversation with Staten Island’s first official poet laureate, Marguerite Maria Rivas. We will gather in Makerspace, the home of Maker Park Radio, for a deep dive into her vision for the position and for elevating the literary arts on Staten Island. A poetry reading follows, then Eddie Joyce (SMALL MERCIES) and Lara Vapnyar (DIVIDE ME BY ZERO) read from new work set on the island. Come meet these talented local writers, get a book signed (thanks to Books Are Magic), and toast to two years of Cut + Paste on Maker Park Radio. FREE. RSVP here.

This event is made possible (in part) by a DCA Premier Grant from Staten Island Arts, with public funding from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs. This event is also funded in part by Poets & Writers through public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the City Council.
